    This is a rare promotional pinback from the
    Original Broadway production of the BURT SHEVELOVE, LARRY GELBART and STEPHEN SONDHEIM musical comedy "A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM" which played the Alvin Theatre in New York City. (The production opened May 8th, 1962 and ran for 966 performances.) ..... The musical starred the Tony Award winning ZERO MOSTEL as "Pseudolus" and featured JACK GILFORD, DAVID BURNS, RUTH KOBART, BRIAN DAVIES, PRESHY MARKER, RONALD HOLGATE, EDDIE PHILLIPS, GEORGE REEDER, DAVID EVANS, JOHN CARRADINE and RAYMOND WALBURN ..... Side Note: "A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM" was the winner of six 1963 Tony Awards including "Best Musical". In one of the most glaring omissions in Tony Awards history, STEPHEN SONDHEIM failed to receive a nomination in the category of "Best Composer and Lyricist" .....
