USS ALABAMA BATTLE SHIP & USS DRUM SUBMARINE COLLECTORS PLATE.  This very rare military plate is 9" in diameter which I believe is made of ceramic.
The USS Alabama is a World War II-era battleship and the fifth ship named after the state of Alabama.  It first served in the Atlantic theater of operations during the war but was better known for its role in helping to take Japanese-held islands in the Pacific from 1943 to 1945, earning numerous citations.
USS Drum submarine is a World War II-era submarine.  It received 12 battle stars for her World War II service.  She is credited for sinking 15 ships including the seaplane carrier of the Imperial Japanes Navy Mizuho, a total of 80,580 tons of enemy shipping, eighth highest of all US submarines in total Japanese tonnage sunk.
