This is a rare souvenir program from the out-of-town tryouts of the Sixteenth and final edition of the musical revue "THE PASSING SHOW of 1946". (The production opened November 9th, 1945 in Hartford, Connecticut and closed February 17th, 1946 in Chicago, failing to arrive on Broadway.) ..... "The Passing Show" began in 1912 (not counting an 1894 production at the Casino Theatre) as a Winter Garden Extravaganza. The 1945-46 edition starred WILLIE HOWARD, who appeared in the original 1912 production and in nearly every other succeeding edition. This edition also starred SUE RYAN and BOBBY MORRIS and featured DICK BUCKLEY, BOB RUSSELL, JOHN MASTERS & ROWENS ROLLINS, BETTY LUSTER, MIMI KELLERMAN, RUTH DAVIS, RUTH CLAYTON, GIL JOHNSON, SYLVIA RUSSELL, The Sensational European Novelty MIRTILL & PACAUD and 40 GORGEOUS MODELS .....
