VTG Bedouin? Tribal Hand Chased Silver Wide Bangle Cuff Bracelet
Presented is a fantastic hand engraved and hand chased silver bracelet. This is
a vintage or antique piece, likely of southeast Asian (Indian, Pakistani) or
Middle Eastern/North African make. The style is similar to Bedouin tribal silver
work and it is my opinion that is the most likely origin for the piece. Whatever
the case, it is a well made bracelet, in an eye-catching, impressive size. The
decoration is intricate and abstract. One section of the bracelet has two blank
rectangular cartouches which have no engravings, so possibly this is a wedding
related piece.
The bracelet is in great overall condition. There is a little bit of wiggle
to the hinge, but it seems original to the making of the piece and the hinge
seems sturdy and strong. The clasp mechanism functions well.
This bracelet is not stamped or hallmarked but we have tested it and
guarantee it to be silver.
The bracelet will fit a wrist of about 7 3/4 inches in circumference. The
bracelet is about 7/8 of an inch wide.
The bracelet weighs 68 grams or 2.4 regular ounces.
