    Description

    Vintage map of Japan and tourist information brochure, dated 1953. Post World War II occupation of Japan ended in 1952.  Measures 7" x 4" folded, 14" x 20" unfolded. Has a map on one side and tourist information on the other. The map shows railway, airline and steamship routes. The tourist information mentions that rice is still rationed, only the U.S. dollar and pound sterling can be converted to yen. Interesting piece of history! Overall good condition with minor yellowing/fading at edges (can be seen in first picture).
