    Victorian Hand Painted Portrait Brooch Pendant Porcelain The Gypsy Boy
    The Gypsy Boy was a well known image during the late Victorian period and a favorite for artists to copy. This is a particularly nice example of that image, painted onto a large oval of white porcelain.  The porcelain is set into a gold filled setting.  The piece has a C clasp and a tube hinge.  There is also a bail for a chain so the piece can be worn as a pendant.  This appears to have been added at a much later time.
    There is one small scratch on the boy's face, through his eyebrow.  The C clasp has been bent down.  The tube hinge is in good working order.
    2-1/8" wide by 2-5/8" high by 1/4" thick.
