    Description

    Exceptional hand painted porcelain brooch, circa 1890. It measures 1 3/4" x1 1/2" and depicts Chillon Castle on Lake Geneva, Switzerland.
    The porcelain is set in a gold-plated bezel with a twisted ribbon band trim.
    The painting is rather light and ethereal looking, reminiscent of water color or the Impressionism of the late 1800's.
    There is very mild wear seen under magnification. I have given you several views and close ups, so you may appreciate this lovely and unusual piece.
