This is a rare August 1963 "Showcard" playbill from the Off-Broadway revival of the HUGH MARTIN and RALPH BLANE musical comedy "BEST FOOT FORWARD" at Stage 73 in New York City. (The production opened April 2nd, 1963 and closed October 14th, 1963 after 224 performances.) ..... The musical starred Hollywood legend VERONICA LAKE (in her New York stage debut) and the cast included GLENN WALKEN, KAY COLE, RONALD WALKEN (who later changed his name to Christopher), EDMUND GAYNES, MARCIA STRASSMAN, NORMAN EVANS, JACKIE CROWN, GENE CASTLE, DAVID HARTMAN, PAUL CHARLES, JOHNNY BEECHER, SPENCER DAVIS, SID LEE, MEREDITH POGUE, JILL CHODER, RALF von BODA, LAURIE LOPEZ and PATRICA STEWART ..... Side Note: VERONICA LAKE replaced PAUL WAYNE as "Gale Joy" on August 29th, 1963 and remained in the role until the October 14th, 1963 closing. LIZA MINNELLI, who had made her professional debut in this production, left in late August but is still seen in the cover photo .....
