"Tame-nuri fountain pen Aodame"
uses ebonite material for the body, and "clear lacquer" is applied over the undercoat "blue lacquer" to create a deep and beautiful color tone.
The more you use it, the more transparent the "transparent lacquer" and the color of the undercoat will increase, and you will feel the depth even more.
The body is carefully finished by the lacquering artist Katsunobu Nishihara.
In addition to a handwritten signature and serial number, it is equipped with a super-large 21-karat gold nib unique to Sailor Fountain Pen.
This product, which adds creativity to traditional techniques, is sold in Japan for only eight. Limited to 88 pieces in the world, it is extremely rare and highly valuable.
■ What is "Tame-nuri"?
Tame-nuri is a technique of Japanese traditional craft lacquer ware.

■ Lacquering artist Nishihara Katsunobu (resident in Hiroshima City)
Born in the family of a Buddhist altar lacquer maker in Hiroshima City in 1972, he grew up accustomed to traditional techniques from an early age. He studied at the Wajima Museum of Lacquer Art, Ishikawa, and during that time he studied under Nobuyasu Watanabe and Masahito Igawa.
After graduating from the institute, he returned to Hiroshima and engaged in Buddhist altar lacquer work, which is a family business. He is also active as a lacquering artist in numerous art exhibitions and solo exhibitions, including the Japanese Traditional Crafts Exhibition and the Japanese Traditional Lacquering Exhibition.
