Sailor Autumn Sky (Pillow Book) special edition is inspired by the description of the autumn sky in Japan by Sei Shonagon. Sei Shonagon was a Japanese author, poet, and a court lady who served the Empress Teishi around the year 1000 during the middle Heian period.
Various subjects were touched in this collection of poems and anecdotes, however one that was frequently mentioned are the four seasons. Sailor is introducing the second in their annual release of the Pillow Book series – the Professional Gear Autumn Sky.
Autumn arrives, and with it skies rolling with clouds and crisp breezes carrying the earthy scent of leaves. Listen during the quiet fog of the morning and you will hear the call of geese making their long journey south before snow begins to fall.
Sailor created Autumn Sky as a way to capture the delicate feeling of an autumn evening as described in The Pillow Book. This unique, deep coral colored pen with warm, golden accents is sure to bring you into the present moment, so that you can enjoy the beautiful changes of this remarkable season.
This fountain pen has gold plated trim and a 21k gold nib gold plated and deep coral color in the Sailor Professional Gear.
