Kyo maki-e decorative art can be seen at the Emperors palace on musical instruments, at ancient temples and on various Japanese lacquer ware products. Kyo maki-e art gives a feeling of beauty and luxury with a typical simplicity of Japanese culture as exemplified in the traditional Tea ceremony. These products are created in Kyoto and this art reflects the ancient roots of maki-e art. Prepared on the Classic 1911 size pen.
