WAJIMA BIJOU Fountain Pen
The Wajima Bijou is a lacquered fountain pen with a smooth and shiny surface created by repeatedly lacquering
and polishing the body and grooves in the body using the Wajima-nuri and maki-e techniques.
The border, lid stopper, and tail stopper are finished with colored urushi, mother-of-pearl inlays,
and pure gold powder maki-e to resemble jewelry (bijou).
The fountain pen itself is aptly called "Bijou" by Takuya Hino, a Wajima-nuri maki-e craftsman,
who painstakingly lacquered and maki-e lacquered each piece by hand.
The lid metal ring with an original design has a serial number and is equipped with Sailor's original large 21k gold nib.
The color is coral (pink) and sapphire (blue), and each color is limited to 300 pieces both in Japan and overseas.
