    This is a rare June 1972 "Stagebill" playbill from the Chicago Premiere engagement of the ALICE CHILDRESS play "WEDDING BAND" at the Ivanhoe Theatre in Chicago, Illinois. (The production would open October 26th, 1972 at the Off-Broadway Public/ Newman Theatre in New York City and run for 175 performances.) ..... The play starred RUBY DEE and MICHAEL HIGGINS (who would be replaced by JAMES BRODERICK before the play opened in New York) and featured CLARICE TAYLOR, COLOSTINE BOATWRIGHT, MARRIAN WALTERS, CHUCK PATTERSON, ERIN TOMCHEFF, LETITIA TOOLE, DAVID WHITAKER, COLISSE DINWIDDIE and JACKIE COSTELLO .....
