This is a PAIR of Victorian Silver Plated Brooches / Pins from an estate in Green Valley, AZ.
The Duchess Solitaire is the title of the lady embossed in high relief. You won't see yourself coming and going in these as they are antique and unique.
They are dated by the lozenge mark to 1876 and made by West and Co. as one of their patented pin clasps.
They are in working order, I took pics of the backs with the clasps open and closed; they're spring loaded so you squeeze the tabs toward one another and lift the clasp out.
Some wear to the plating on the Duchess's faces and hats otherwise in great condition.
They are each fully marked on the back: WEST AND CO. PATENT; the lozenge mark; THE DUCHESS SOLITAIRE.
