This is a rare single page handbill (flyer) with the performance schedule for the ORSON WELLES' Mercury Theatre Production of the William Shakespeare classic "JULIUS CAESAR" which was performed in repertory with the THOMAS DEKKER play "THE SHOEMAKERS' HOLIDAY" at the Mercury Theatre in New York City. ("Julius Caesar" opened November 11th, 1937 at New York's Mercury Theatre, moved to the National Theatre on January 24th, 1938 and ran for 157 performances. This single page, one-sided schedule measures 5" X 8 1/4" inches and includes the performance schedule for both "JULIUS CAESAR" and "THE SHOEMAKERS' HOLIDAY" from December 25th, 1937 through January 29th, 1938 ..... CONDITION: With the exception of two tiny edge tears, minor age discoloration and a corner crease at the top right, this rare schedule is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
