    This is a beautiful July 22nd, 1945 playbill (with an original ticket stub) from the Original Broadway production of the LEONARD BERNSTEIN, BETTY COMDEN and ADOLPH GREEN musical comedy "ON THE TOWN" at the Forty-Fourth Street Theatre in New York City. (The show opened December 28th, 1944 the Adelphi Theatre, moved to the 44th Street Theatre on June 4th, 1945 and settled into the Martin Beck Theatre on July 30th, 1945, running for a combined 462 performances.) ..... This production launched the careers of several individuals who would be instrumental in shaping the future of the Broadway musical: LEONARD BERNSTEIN, BETTY COMDEN, ADOLPH GREEN and JEROME ROBBINS.
