Many are from early performances when revisions were common and include song titles that were cut before opening in New York ....... This is a rare broadside (single page playbill) from the Pre-Broadway tryout of the MAX SHULMAN, SIDNEY LIPPMAN and SYLVIA DEE musical comedy "BAREFOOT BOY WITH CHEEK" at the Colonial Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The production would open April 3rd, 1947 at the Martin Beck Theatre in New York City and run for 108 performances.) ..... The musical starred NANCY WALKER, BILLY REDFIELD and RED BUTTONS and featured ELLEN HANLEY, PHILIP COOLIDGE, BILLIE LOU WATT, SHIRLEY VAN, JACK WILLIAMS, JERRY AUSTEN, NATHANIEL FREY and TOMMY FARRELL ..... CONDITION: With the exception of minor creasing, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
