    This is a rare April 15th, 1985 preview playbill from the Original Off-Broadway production of the LARRY KRAMER play "THE NORMAL HEART" at the Public / Luesther Hall in New York City. (The production would officially open April 21st, 1985 and would later move to the larger Public Anspacher Theatre on June 4th, 1985, running for 294 performances.) ..... Produced by The New York Shakespeare Festival Public Theater, "THE NORMAL HEART" was the first production to deal openly with the then controversial subject of AIDS. Hoffman's "AS IS" and Larry Kramer's "THE NORMAL HEART", both dealing with the "dreaded disease AIDS" (last three scanned images) ..... CONDITION: With the exception of the date written on the first inside page, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
