This is a rare June 6th, 1952 playbill from the two-week, Summer Stock engagement of theMOSS HART, KURT WEILL and IRA GERSHWIN musical "LADY IN THE DARK" at the Bucks County Playhouse in New Hope, Pennsylvania. (The Original Broadway production opened January 23rd, 1941 at New York's Alvin Theatre and ran for 162 performances before taking a summer hiatus and brief tour. The show returned to the Alvin Theatre September 2nd, 1941 for an additional 305 performances.) ..... DETAILS: The fourteen page playbill measures 6 1/4" X 9 1/2" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and wonderful vintage advertising, but no cast photos or bios ..... CONDITION: With the exception of moderate creasing, light soiling and minor edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
