This is a rare advertising handbill (flyer) promoting the National Tour engagement of the MAWBY GREEN and ED FEILBERT comedy "PAJAMA TOPS" at the Stanton Theatre in Baltimore, Maryland beginning December 14th, 1964. (The production opened May 31st, 1963 at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City and ran for 52 performances before going on the road.) ..... The musical starred JUNE WILKINSON and featured RICHARD VATH and WILLIAM BROWDER. Additional cast members (not mentioned in the text of the handbill) included FRANCES FONG, CLIFF HALLE, DON McART, LESLIE VALLEN and JAMES WINSLOW ..... CREDITS: Book by MAWBY GREEN and ED FEILBERT based on the celebrated French comedy, "Moumou" by JEAN de LETRAZ; Sets designed by LEO B. MEYER; Costumes designed by VILMA AULD; Directed by RICHARD VATH; Produced by STAN SEIDEN and ZEV BUFMAN ..... DETAILS: Advertising handbills (heralds) were distributed or inserted into the playbills of other productions to help generate ticket sales for upcoming shows and events. This single page, one-sided handbill measures 5 5/8" X 8 3/4" inches and includes production credits and beautiful graphics on the front. The backside is blank ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a light vertical crease, this rare handbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
