This is a rare February 19th, 1928 "Playgoer" playbill from one of several National Tours of the SIGMUND ROMBERG and DOROTHY DONNELLY musical play "BLOSSOM TIME" at the Cass Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. (The production opened September 29th, 1921 at New York's Ambassador Theatre, moved to the Jolson's 59th Street Theatre on October 2nd, 1922 and the Century Theatre on October 23rd, 1922, running for 516 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... Using the melodies of FRANZ SCHUBERT, the hit musical starred JOHN CHARLES GILBERT as "Franz Schubert" and GENEVIEVE NAEGELE as "Mitzi" and included VERA AMAZAR, FLO KEEZEL, SYLVIA SNYDER, PEARL KINCAID, YOLANDA PRESBURY, PATRICK KELLY, ROBERT LEE ALLEN, THOMAS T. TRACY, GEORGE HUNTINGTON, HENRY RABKE, CARL SHIFFLER, CLYDE JACKSON, GORDON DAVIS, OTIS SHERIDAN, J. CURTO, LOUISE ROTHAKE, ERBA ROBESON and J. ALLISON ..... The front cover features KATHERINE MORRIS who was playing the role of "Patricia" in the hit musical "Good News" ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light creasing, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
