    This is a rare advertising handbill (flyer) promoting the Post-Broadway engagement of the JOHN VAN DRUTEN comedy "OLD ACQUAINTANCE" at the Shubert Lafayette Theatre in Detroit, Michigan beginning October 22nd, 1942. (The production opened December 23rd, 1940 at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City and ran for 170 performances before going on the road.) .... The play starred JANE COWL (shown in the photo) and featured WILLIAM HARRIGAN and ROY ROBERTS ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light creasing, this rare handbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
