    This is a rare February 11th, 1947 broadside (single page playbill) from the Post-Broadway engagement of the GEORGE BERNARD SHAW classic "PYGMALION" at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco, California. (The revival opened December 26th, 1945 at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre in New York City and ran for 179 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred GERTRUDE LAWRENCE as "Eliza Doolittle" and DENNIS KING as "Henry Higgins" and featured CECIL HUMPHREYS, KATHERINE EMMET, MYRTLE TANNEHILL, J. P. WILSON, LESLIE AUSTEN, DORA SAYERS, JAMES TRUEX, JEFFREY POTTER, CYNTHIA LATHAM, RALPH FORBES, VELMA ROYTON, VICTORY ABBOTT and FENN GUERNSEY ..... DETAILS: The single page, two-sided broadside measures 5 3/4" X 13 1/8" inches, is printed on a light brown newsprint stock and includes full production credits, cast list and synopsis of scenes, but no cast photos or bios ..... CONDITION: With the exception of three horizontal folds, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
