    This is a rare November 30th, 1953 "Playgoer" playbill from the Post-Broadway engagement of the GEORGE GERSHWIN, IRA GERSHWIN and DU BOSE HEYWARD American Folk Opera "PORGY AND BESS" at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (This ambitious revival was produced for the first European tour of the musical which opened October 9th, 1952 at London's Stoll Theatre.
