This is a rare July 17th, 1950 playbill from the one-week, Pre-Broadway tryout and WORLD PREMIERE engagement of the GARSON KANIN comedy "THE LIVE WIRE" at the Ogunquit Playhouse in Ogunquit, Maine. (The production would open August 17th, 1950 at the Playhouse Theatre in New York City and close after only 28 performances.) ..... The ensemble cast included PEGGY CASS, CHARLES CHAPLIN, Jr. (replaced out-of-town by JOSEPH G. SULLIVAN), PETER TURGEON, SHEILA BOND, DOUGLAS CHANDLER, SCOTT McKAY, REX WILLIAMS, NED WERTIMER, ELLIOTT REID, CHESTER STRATTON, JOHN DREW COLT, JACK GILFORD, PAT HARRINGTON, CARMEN MATHEWS (replaced out-of-town by ELSPETH ERIC), MURVYN VYE and HEYWOOD HALE BROUN .....
