This is a rare souvenir program from the Original Broadway production of the Pulitzer Prize winning WILLIAM INGE play "BUS STOP" which played the Music Box Theatre in New York City. (The production opened March 2nd, 1955 and ran for 478 performances.) ..... The play starred KIM STANLEY as "Cherie" (the role played by MARILYN MONROE in the motion picture released the following year) and featured ELAINE STRITCH, ANTHONY ROSS, ALBERT SALMI, DICK YORK, PHYLLIS LOVE, PATRICK McVEY, LOU POLAN and CRAHAN DENTON ..... Includes a loose insert (shown in the last scanned image) noting that DICK YORK had replaced ALBERT SALMI, who appears in all of the production photos ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this rare program is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
