This is a rare November 20th, 1956 "Playgoer" playbill (with two related newspaper clippings) from the one-week, National Tour engagement of the GEORGE AXELROD comedy "WILL SUCCESS SPOIL ROCK HUNTER?" at Ford's Theatre in Baltimore, Maryland. (The production opened October 13th, 1955 at the Belasco Theatre in New York City and ran for 444 performances while simultaneously playing on the road.) ..... The play starred EDDIE BRACKEN and featured ROXANNE ARLEN, JEROME KILTY, HAROLD GARY, GEORGE IVES, TOM NEWMAN, MARILYN COLE and NORRIS BRANSTRAUM ..... CREDITS: Book by GEORGE AXELROD; Sets designed by OLIVER SMITH; Directed by GEORGE AXELROD; Produced by MANNY DAVIS by special arrangement with JULE STYNE ..... DETAILS: The sixteen page playbill measures 6 1/8" X 9 3/8" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and bios of each of the leading actors, but no cast photos. Includes two clipped reviews from local newspapers ..... CONDITION: With the exception of slight discoloration inside the front cover from the newspaper clippings, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
