This listing is for #C449 - "FOLK ART COUNTRY", a NEW Handmade Rag Quilt Candle Mat or Table Centerpiece. This Mat has Eight "Slices" made of two different Cotton Print Fabrics. Each Slice is made of 3 layers of Fabric (Cotton Top, Flannel Center and Cotton Backing) that are Machine Quilted together. The slices are sewn together Rag Quilt style, the seams clipped to create the ragged look and a circle of contrasting fabric sewn to the center. Teapot Not included.

This Mat has been washed once to start the ragging process. The clipped edges will continue to get fluffier each time you wash it. Different types of Fabrics are used in making the Mats. These Fabrics have a different rate of shrinkage when washed which creates the wonderful puckers and crinkles, just like the vintage Quilts these are patterned after.
