    This is a rare playbill (program) from the original production of the LEON LEONIDOFF, JULE STYNE and STANLEY STYNE musical spectacle "WONDER WORLD" which played the huge 11,000 seat Amphitheatre at the 1964 New York World's Fair. (The production premiered on April 7th, 1964 and played 250 performances before closing the week of July 6th, 1964 after filing for bankruptcy.) ..... Written specifically for the New York World's Fair, the large-scale "aqua-stage spectacle" featured a cast of 250 and starred CHITA RIVERA who alternated with GRETCHEN WYLER at certain performances. The million production was presented four times a day Monday through Thursday and five times a day on Saturdays and Sundays in the 11,000 seat Art Deco amphitheatre which was constructed for the 1939 New York World's Fair. Among the others featured in the cast were TED SCOTT, JOHN O'NEILL, The RASTELLIS, The LUCKY LATINOS, SZONY & CLAIRE, HELEN WOOD, The FRENCH WONDERWHEELS, The TRIO FATIMA and EUGENE SLAVIN ..... Special Added Attraction: "THE MAN IN THE MOON" featuring the debut of the Flying Man, KOLONEL KEDS and the Bell Rocket Belt .....
