This is arare souvenir program from the Gala Benefit Performance of the
Original West End production of the MICHAEL STEWART, CHARLES STROUSE and LEE ADAMS musical comedy "BYE BYE BIRDIE" at London's Her Majesty's Theatre. (The Original Broadway production opened April 14th, 1960 at the Martin Beck Theatre in New York City and ran for 607 performances. The London production opened June 15th, 1961 and ran for 268 performances.) ..... DETAILS: The thick oversized 104 page program measures 8 3/4" X 11 1/4" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and list of musical numbers, but no cast photos or bios. Many of the pages are congratulatory advertisements or ads helping to fund the two charities ..... CONDITION: With the exception of rusted staples and light surface wear, this rare program is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
