Many are from early performances when revisions were common and include song titles that were cut before opening in New York ....... This is a rare September 11th, 1944 playbill from the Pre-Broadway engagement of the HAROLD ARLEN, E. Y. HARBURG and FRED SAIDY musical "BLOOMER GIRL" at the Forrest Theatre in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. (The production would open October 5th, 1944 at the Sam S. Shubert Theatre in New York City and run for 654 performances.) ..... The musical starred CELESTE HOLM and featured MARGARET DOUGLASS, JOAN McCRACKEN, DAVID BROOKS, MABEL TALIAFERRO and MATT BRIGGS .....
