    Description

    This is a sweet folding paper advertising brochure for the Fujiya Hotel in Miyanoshita, Hakone, Japan.  When closed (as seen in the first picture), it measures about 9 1/2 by 5 1/4 inches.  When the two layers are successively folded open, you see scenes of routes to travel by railway, tram or motor road, as well as tourist attractions, and things to do in the Mt Fuji area.  Imagery in the brochure suggests that it dates to about the 1920s.  The two folding layers have sculpted top edges in the shape of mountains and hills in the area surrounding Mt Fuji.
