    Description

    Antique RARE, Large 20" Aridor Glass Store Counter Display Jar Description: EXCELLENT Condition, no nicks, chips, cracks, etc. Patented 1917, this big horizontal jar dates to the early 1920's and is on the ORIGINAL stand.
    This jar was displayed on a counter in a general store to hold merchandise possibly such as cookies, crackers, candy and many times TOBACCO products.
    The stand and lid look are aluminum and on the lid it reads "Aridor Pat. April 17 1917 Aridor Co. Chicago, To Restore Drying Action Bake Pad In Oven Thirty Minutes. "
    This baking soda cake inside the lid kept the contents FRESH by adsorbing moisture
    .  Amazingly, this lid still has that baking soda cake intact! WOW - now that's rare.
    This jar measures 20" long x 6 3/4" wide and stands 9" Tall with the stand. The glass has no nicks, chips or cracks, the lid comes on and off easily, but has some dings to the aluminum lid.  This is the rarest and largest size.
