Antique/VTG Tribal Silver Agate Aqiq Red Stone Ring
Presented is a striking antique silver and red stone ring. This is a vintage or
antique piece and is of North African make, likely Berber, Yemeni, or similar.
The ring is set with an oval cabochon of red agate or glass, we aren't sure. The
setting has a ropetwist design around the bottom. New aqeeq rings are easy to
find and popular today, but real, handmade antique examples like this are much
harder to find. This is a rare and desirable ring at a great price.
The ring is in good condition. The stone or glass has some abrasion. The
silver setting has a rustic handmade look, because it's a handmade, tribal
piece.
The ring is nitric acid tested and guaranteed silver.
The ring is a size 7 1/2. The band is about 7.5 millimeters wide at the
narrowest point and about 20 millimeters wide at the head of the ring.
The ring weighs 5.8 grams.
