    BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE VICTORIAN/EDWARDIAN
    MOLDED BLACK GLASS CAMEO GOLD WASHED PIN!
    I RECENTLY ACQUIRED A HUGE VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE ESTATE COLLECTION OF FINE AND COSTUME JEWELRY. MANY PIECES ARE SIGNED AND NEVER WORN, COME IN THEIR ORIGINAL POUCH OR BOXES! LISTED FOR AUCTION TODAY IS ONE OF THE OLDEST PIECES. IT IS MID TO LATE 1800'S VICTORIAN OR EDWARDIAN, IS UN-MARKED GOLD WASHED BRASS. IT WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 10 GRAMS AND MEASURES ABOUT 1 1/2" ACROSS. THE FRAME IS SCALLOPED WITH RAISED FLOWERS AND HAS REMNANTS OF A BRIGHT GOLD WASH. PRONG SET IN THE CENTER IS A FACETED BLACK GLASS CAMEO THAT MEASURES ABOUT 1 1/4" ACROSS  AND 1/4" THICK. IT IS A PROFILE OF A YOUNG WOMAN WEARING HAIR ADORNED WITH A DETAILED HEAD BAND, AND OTHER ASSORTED ADORNMENTS. SHE IS WEARING A DOUBLE CHOKER STRAND OF PEARLS AND HAS A DRAPED BODICE. IT HAS CERTAINLY BEEN WORN, HAS AN EXTENDED PIN WITH "C" CLASP IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. THE CAMEO IS SECURED WITH FOUR PRONGS, AND WILL TURN IN THE SETTING, BUT IS SECURE. THIS IS A LOVELY VERY VERY OLD PERIOD CAMEO WITH LOADS OF DETAIL!
