Edwardian Victorian Art Deco Brooch, with “C” clasp with Amethyst stone and I would think it went on heavy Victorian coats as the pin is quite thick, it also is marked G.L.P. Which I see in my research means either George L Paine or gold plated, and although I believe from the looks of it it must have a gold wash, but I’m in Massachusetts and the George L. Paine Co was in Attleboro Massachusetts and was known for making Edwardian styles at the turn of the century, it measures about 3 inches across, the stone is in great antique condition as well, it is a gorgeous brooch, but at 70 it is time to pass it along,
I do not see any scratches on the stone and the first picture is as close as I could get to true colors, it may be a little darker than in person
