Antique Gold-Filled Brooch with Celluloid Silhouette of a Deer & Stag c. 1900-20

Description

Beautiful  large antique gold-filled brooch pin with a celluloid or "French Ivory" silhouette of a deer and stag, circa 1900-1920's. Has a glass front and decorative ornate mount with swivel mounted double-sided frame. Measures approximately 2 5/8" x 2 1/8" overall and weighs 48.3 grams. The paper backing behind the silhouette is torn (see photos) and there is a period repair to the pin (pin has been reset), otherwise in good presentable condition. A wonderful period piece of antique jewelry.
