Description of Item
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE ESTATE FLORAL DESIGN TINY RHINESTONE SET BROOCH PIN. THIS PIN WAS WITH SOME JEWELRY I INHERITED FROM MY GREAT AUNT MANY, MANY, YEARS AGO. SHE WAS BORN IN 1890, & WORE THIS PIN AS A YOUNG WOMAN. I AM NOT SURE WHAT IT IS MADE OF, BUT IT IS A HEAVY BROOCH, & PEWTER IN COLOR ON THE FRONT SIDE. I AM NOT A JEWELRY EXPERT, SO I DO NOT KNOW IF IT IS ACTUALLY MADE OF PEWTER, OR SOME OTHER METAL.
IT APPEARS (MAYBE) TO HAVE ONCE BEEN GOLD TONE PLATED ON THE FRONT SIDE, AS YOU CAN SEE BY LOOKING AT THE BACK SIDE (see photo #3 & #4). IT IS UNSIGNED, & HAS A PIN & OPEN "J" CLASP ON THE BACK. THE OPENING ON THE LOCKING "J" CLASP IS FACING DOWNWARD, NOT UPWARDS. THE BROOCH IS HORIZONTAL OVAL IN SHAPE & MEASURES 2 3/8" BY 1 1/2".
I AM SELLING THIS BROOCH "AS INHERITED". IT IS IN GOOD CONDITION, CONSIDERING IT'S AGE, & EVEN WITH THE GOLD TONE PLATING LOSS ON THE FRONT SIDE, IT IS STILL A LOVELY PIECE TO WEAR, OR COLLECT.
