    LISTED FOR AUCTION TODAY IS A DELIGHTFUL ANTIQUE PIN. IT IS UN-MARKED, HAS A NICE GOLD WASH AND WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 5.2 GRAMS. THE FRAME MEASURES ABOUT 1" X 7/8", IS SMOOTH WITH TWISTED WIRE TRIM AROUND A BEZEL SET CARVED CAMEO. THE CAMEO IS A BEAUTIFULLY CARVED PROFILE OF A YOUNG LADY WITH DRAPED BODICE, HAIR PULLED BACK WITH FRUITS (?) AND FLORALS. IT HAS CERTAINLY BEEN WORN BUT MUCH OF THE DETAIL REMAINS. THE FRAME HAS A MUCH OLDER BAR AND HINGE, BUT APPEARS TO HAVE HAD THE CATCH WITH LOCK REPLACED. PERHAPS FOR ADDED SECURITY. IT HAS CERTAINLY BEEN WORN AND THERE IS LOSS OF FINISH ON THE EDGES BUT WHAT A WONDERFUL VERY VERY OLD CAMEO BROOCH!
