This circa 1890 ribbon counter store display measures  13 1/4" x 13 1/4" x 5 1/4" in size over-all.
With FORTY (40) SLOTS for ribbon rolls.  Apparently "Display Letters" ribbon came in FORTY (40) arrangements and combinations of ribbons with ID style letters printed on them for sale
