    Description

    This large ceramic brooch from the early 1900's has an unusually bold art nouveau design. Blue leaves and red berries twine around a bright gilt background. The pin is 2 inches across and 2 3/8 inches high. It's very nicely done, but may be the work of a hobbyist or amateur china painter. There is a bit of wear on the gilt in places on the edge and under the prongs, but the pin is still bright and beautiful.
